Company
AI for complex products,
starting with insurance.
Effective is a governed platform for product work that has to be right. Agents research, draft and monitor. People review and approve what moves forward.
About us
Effective AI is a platform for regulated insurance work that helps insurance teams research products and markets, maintain product context, prepare filings, build raters, and carry complex work across teams.
Insurance work depends on expert judgment. A product change can touch forms, rules, rates, filings, underwriting appetite, implementation, and regulatory review. The relevant context often lives across documents, systems, spreadsheets, email, and individual memory.
Effective gives teams a governed workspace where agents can use company context, insurance sources, approved processes, and human review paths to complete work. Agents handle research, analysis, drafting, monitoring, coordination, and system work. People direct the work, handle exceptions, review results, and approve what moves forward.
What Effective AI does
Market intelligence
Effective researches filings, competitor products, regulatory changes, and market movement. Teams can ask questions about carriers, products, states, forms, rates, rules, objections, and approval history, then review the evidence behind the answer.
Product context
Effective helps teams maintain a current picture of a product across forms, underwriting rules, rating information, filing history, exceptions, and implementation context. The goal is not another document library. The goal is a product record that stays connected to the work teams are doing.
Forms and rules development
Effective supports drafting, comparing, revising, and governing product wording and non-rating rules. Teams can use it to assess changes, prepare drafts, compare versions, route reviews, and preserve decisions for future work.
Filing and regulatory workflows
Effective helps teams prepare filing materials, research state requirements, organize supporting exhibits, review precedent, manage objections, and keep filing work connected to product decisions.
Rating and pricing workflows
Effective supports rating work by turning manuals, tables, rules, and examples into structured rating assets. Teams can also benchmark their product against selected top carriers in the states where they operate, run the same risks across competing plans, and see which rating factors drive the difference.
Apps, reports, and repeatable work
Effective packages common jobs into Context Apps. A Context App brings together the plans, tools, skills, sources, and domain records needed for a recognizable workflow, such as market research, forms development, filing preparation, or rating analysis.

The team behind Effective AI
Effective AI was founded by operators and builders who saw how much important insurance work still depends on manual coordination across experts, documents, systems, and review processes.
Abhay Mitra, co-founder and CEO, previously co-founded and operated Nirvana Insurance. That experience shaped Effective’s focus on the work required to bring insurance products to market and keep them current. Kunal Singhal, co-founder and CTO, leads the agent and product engineering systems behind Effective’s insurance workflows. Arijit Banerjee, co-founder and Chief Architect, leads the platform architecture, security, and governance controls that make those systems enterprise-ready.
Effective AI is based in San Francisco and works with insurance carriers, MGAs, and insurance operators building or maintaining complex products.

How Effective AI works
Effective starts by connecting the sources, workflows, and review paths a team already depends on.
- 01
Connect sources
A team connects approved tools, documents, repositories, insurance data sources, spreadsheets, or work systems. Setup defines which sources are trusted, which users and agents can access them, and which operations are allowed.
- 02
Create operating context
Mission Control organizes the relevant sources, apps, reports, workflows, permissions, and agent entry points around a product, team, account, initiative, or workflow.
- 03
Start work from a goal
A user can ask a question, launch a Context App, start a plan, assign an outcome, or ask an agent to investigate a problem.
- 04
Use agents with context
Agents read permitted sources, use tools, follow skills and plans, and produce source-backed work products.
- 05
Route human decisions
Effective brings judgment calls, exceptions, reviews, and approvals back to the right people.
- 06
Persist useful results
Accepted outputs can become reports, product context, tasks, procedures, signals, or governed records.
- 07
Reuse what was learned
Future work can use prior decisions, exceptions, source links, and corrections instead of starting over.
- 08
Use Effective from existing AI systems
Teams can call Effective’s agents, workflows, insurance capabilities, and context graph through API and MCP interfaces, with the same permissions, source traceability, and review controls.
Frequently asked questions
What is Effective AI?
Effective AI is a platform for regulated insurance work. It helps insurance teams research products and markets, maintain product context, prepare filings, build and test rating assets, and coordinate work across teams with human review built in.
Who uses Effective AI?
Effective AI is used by insurance product, actuarial, underwriting, filing, regulatory, operations, and executive teams. These teams use Effective when work depends on source evidence, expert review, product context, and coordination across multiple systems or functions.
What insurance workflows does Effective AI support?
Effective AI supports workflows such as market research, competitor monitoring, product library maintenance, forms and rules development, filing preparation, objection response, rating analysis, rater building, and regulatory monitoring. Specific workflows depend on source availability, setup, integrations, and review requirements.
How is Effective AI different from generic AI tools?
Effective AI is not a general prompt box. It is built around insurance products, filings, forms, rates, rules, regulatory history, source traceability, permissions, and review paths. Generic AI tools help individuals complete tasks. Effective helps teams carry regulated work across people, agents, systems, and approvals.
What is a Context App?
A Context App is a workflow-specific app inside Effective. It brings together the plans, tools, skills, sources, domain records, and review paths needed for a recognizable job, such as researching filings, preparing a filing, developing forms, or testing rating logic.
What is Mission Control?
Mission Control is a governed workspace for a team, product, account, initiative, or workflow. It assembles the relevant sources, apps, reports, workflows, permissions, activity, and agent entry points so work starts with the right context.
Does Effective AI replace systems of record?
No. Effective works with existing tools, repositories, and systems of record. It connects to approved sources and gives agents and users a controlled way to act on that context. In most workflows, Effective is the operating layer over existing systems, not the sole source of truth.
Does Effective AI remove human review?
No. Effective is designed for work where access, authority, and auditability matter. Agents perform research, analysis, drafting, monitoring, coordination, and system work. Humans remain responsible for business decisions, exceptions, reviews, approvals, and final implementation choices.
Does Effective AI use customer data to train models?
No. Customer data is not used to train models. Effective is designed around customer-specific context, permissions, review paths, and governed workspaces.
How do insurance teams get started with Effective AI?
Most teams start with a specific workflow, such as competitor research, filing analysis, product library setup, rating work, forms review, regulatory monitoring, or filing preparation. Effective configures the relevant context, sources, apps, and review paths around that workflow, then expands as the team identifies additional work to make repeatable.
