## Operating context powers the work

Effective builds and maintains detailed operating context around a company's products and how its teams work. That context includes product histories, forms, rules, rates, filings, decisions, supporting evidence, and the relationships between them. It also includes the team's methods, review requirements, and product-specific exceptions.

Agents use this context to understand what exists, how it came to be, which decisions have been made, and what remains unresolved. New work can build on prior analysis and established practices without asking people to reconstruct the history from scattered conversations and documents.

Contextbase holds governed knowledge, methods, guidance, and decision rationale. Records represent shared business facts and relationships. Linked outputs preserve access to reports, raters, analyses, and documents beyond the conversation that produced them. ## Work toward an Outcome

An Outcome is a living record of a result the team wants to achieve. It keeps the goal, latest update, useful outputs, and requests for input in one place. A plan appears when the work has defined steps.

Each Outcome has a captain: a dedicated coordinating agent that plans the work, brings in other agents, tracks next steps and deadlines, and continues working in the background between user visits. The captain keeps progress current and brings questions and decisions to people. They can add information, answer questions, and redirect the work.

The team reviews results and decisions rather than reconstructing every conversation or following every agent task. People set the goal, judge the result, and decide when the work is done.

Use Outcomes for multi-step work such as comparing insurance products, preparing a research report, or coordinating analysis and review. A bounded question or action does not need its own Outcome. Recurring work can use routines to keep information current.

## Context Apps

Context Apps are native applications that put the platform's operating context and agents to work on defined jobs, such as market research, rate development, and filing preparation. They give operators and analysts domain-specific tools and a recommended starting process. Setup adapts that process to the team's products, practices, references, and approval requirements.

A Context App combines:

- Actions: bounded work requested now, such as researching a filing, comparing documents, or preparing an exhibit.
- Routines: recurring work, such as monitoring selected competitors or refreshing a briefing.
- Team context: confirmed preferences, methods, reviewers, and product-specific exceptions that can be reused.
- Data and connections: the sources and supported systems the work needs, with explicit coverage and permission limits.
- Shared results: records, documents, analyses, and other outputs that subsequent work can use.

Apps provide capabilities; Outcomes coordinate their use toward a goal. The model lets work draw on several apps and specialists without requiring users to manage each handoff. Available actions, source coverage, and connections depend on the app and its configuration.

## Across the insurance product lifecycle

Effective connects work across actuarial, product, underwriting, and regulatory teams, from initial market research and product development through filing, implementation support, and ongoing maintenance. Work includes:

- Researching markets, competitors, filings, and regulatory requirements.

## Human judgment and operating boundaries

Agents research, analyze, draft, monitor, and coordinate. People retain responsibility for professional judgment, exceptions, approvals, and authorization of external actions.

Outputs should make their sources, assumptions, and unresolved questions clear. A draft is not an approval, and preparing a filing does not authorize its submission. Customer preferences do not override regulatory requirements.

Effective AI is a software platform, not an insurance carrier or broker. It does not certify regulatory compliance or replace actuarial or legal sign-off. Data availability, monitoring coverage, and read/write access depend on the source, connection, and permissions.
